Engineering does not particularly mean learning about machines, circuits or computer languages.
In our modern world, engineers are not limited up to being a nerd, but explore their hobbies, ideas, different cultures and so on. Definitely, one of the most respected and oldest engineering branches could not just keep quiet in that aspect. To fulfill our dreams of enjoyment, exploration and simultaneously learning during these college years, our Mechanical Engineering Department introduced their own society, viz. Mechanical Engineering Forum (MEF).
This society contains a panel of members, including President, General Secretaries, Joint secretaries, Editors and Co-Editors from each year and runs under the guidance of our respected professor Mr. Shailendra Sinha, as a faculty advisor. The society works as a management body which organizes different technical and cultural fests along with their own magazine published under the name “Srishti”, which contains complete information about the achievements, literary works, a guide to know our Department professors and workshop faculty alongside the list of students of the last batch.
Even though the society has some named office bearers, the bond between our fellow colleagues does not falter and each and every person in mechanical engineering devotes and contributes to seek the growth of the Department cooperatively
What our society does
MEF has been working for years and has successfully organized various seminars and events including The Mechfest, the annual technical and cultural fest of the department. With the cherished goal of all-round development of students, every year the team of students with the support of the faculty works hard to organize such events.
The Mechanical Engineering Forum provides a good platform to young talents, increases the radius of their creativity, teamwork and innovative skills. To publicize our annual magazine “SRISHTI” having articles by our renowned faculties and students.
